M...I found your blog through a friend on Facebook. My sister died in 2000 -- from a DVT and embolisms to her lungs. She was 39. And it was a shock. Her obesity was a contributing factor but I believe that had she weighed less, her concerns when taken to the doctor for her breathing problems would have been taken more seriously. She was thought to be suffering with asthma and had been referred to the asthma clinic. She made one appointment where they were going to set up assessments, etc. Sadly she died a few days after that and the puffers that she had been given were completely useless as asthma was not the issue.

More awareness and support around this is an excellent idea. If there is no mountain to go to, you bring the mountain to you or create one from the ground up. I admire and applaud your inspirational idea in doing this.

I'm sorry that your life will now be "ruled" by thrombosis...but you caught your's before it died it's worst and being a 7 year and counting breast cancer survivor, I know the value and the lessons of gratitude and blessings that come from still being here to do what were meant to do for others.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08271529958269038071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1788025587636393082.post-77033123496268399062012-04-30T12:58:14.164-07:002012-04-30T12:58:14.164-07:00What an awful day you have had, and what a way to ...What an awful day you have had, and what a way to turn it all around!
